An evening of art and culture with OpenStudioBCS: an immersive workshop exploring the beauty and tradition of Suminagashi, a centuries-old Japanese water-marbling medium. The first portion of the evening is devoted to the cultural context of Suminagashi and the traditional materials used in the process, followed by hands-on exploration where guests create their own marbled works.

Kimbell Unlocked
Kimbell Unlocked is a weekly open house for adults 18 and up at the Kimbell Cultural Event Center. Drop in any time to work on your own creative project, bring your own craft, and carve out a corner for yourself—or bring friends and make it a social making session. The space is big, open, and welcoming. From 7 to 10 PM, the Queen's Film Society screens films and the Brazos Fiber Arts group hosts their 'Sit and Stitch' gathering. An inclusive, community-building event where you're encouraged to color outside the lines.
