Acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter Pat Byrne joins Bryan native Brock DeWald for an intimate evening of songs, stories, and conversation at The Kimbell. Hometown Sessions is a listening-room series where DeWald — a Bryan High and Texas A&M alum — invites extraordinary songwriters to share their music and the stories behind it. Byrne won the inaugural season of The Voice of Ireland before trading the major-label path for authentic songwriting; since moving to Austin he has become one of the most compelling voices in Texas Americana, earning a spot on the Austin American-Statesman's Top 10 Albums of the Year for Into the Light. Arrive early for cocktails, then enjoy dinner downtown afterward. Tickets $35.

BVLive.com Songwriter Nights is an intimate songwriter-round series inspired by rooms like Nashville's Bluebird Cafe.
